Swimming Pool Filters - Every Pool Owner Should Have One

If you have a new pool installed, you can't survive without having a swimming pool filter installed. Filters help you keep all the debris, leaves, and other foreign substances from contaminating your pool. They also run on less pressure compared to sand filters so it's more efficient to have these. Also, they don't clog off as easily as sand filters and they last longer without you having to replace them, so if you are looking for something within your budget and can last for years, cartridge filters are a popular choice.  

Diatomaceous Earth (D.E) filters – if you are really, really concerned about bacteria and your big or small swimming pools being spotless clean, and especially if you have the budget, D.E. Filters are the way to go. This type of filter are made up of powdered earth that has microscopic sponge-like particles that collect and absorb minute particles of dust. If you want a really effective filter, this one is by far the most advanced and the most effective. However, for maximum superior performance, the earth should be discarded and replaced after only a few months.  

These filters differ in terms of price and efficiency. Of course, your choice about what type of swimming pool filter to buy should depend on your personal needs. If you are not too particular about the dirt and debris, or if you have an overall clean and protected environment, sand filters are affordable and they are also effective in filtering particles of dust and debris. However, if you are really concerned, especially if you have a lot of kids using the pool all the time, you can opt for the latter kinds of swimming pool filters. Ultimately, you should make sure that you maintain your filter regularly to make sure that it doesn't accumulate a lot of dust and debris and to make sure that it's in topnotch condition.
